Redible is an app for reading and listening to books in their original language with AI-powered contextual support, narration, and a voice assistant. These Terms are the agreement between you and Redible ("we", "us", "our") — the developer identified on the App Store listing through which the app is distributed — for using the app and our website. Please read them: by using Redible, you agree to them.
By creating an account, buying a subscription, or using Redible in any way, you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the app. If you're using Redible on behalf of someone else (for example, a child), you confirm you have the authority to accept these Terms for them.
You need to be at least 13 years old — and to meet any higher minimum age required where you live — to use Redible. If you're under the age of majority where you live, you should only use the app with the permission of a parent or guardian who agrees to these Terms and supervises your use. Redible isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data (see our Privacy Policy).
Redible helps you read literature in a language you're learning. Depending on the book, language, device, and plan, the app provides a reading interface with contextual hints, word and sentence glosses, translations, synchronized audio narration, and an AI assistant you can ask questions by text or voice, along with reading-progress sync and offline access to selected content. Some features rely on AI language models and text-to-speech services, so they're meant as a reading companion — a helpful aid, not a substitute for a teacher, dictionary, or professional translation. Redible supports your learning but doesn't guarantee any particular result, proficiency level, or exam outcome.
To use most features you sign in with email and a password, or with Google or Apple Sign-In. Your account is personal and non-transferable. You're responsible for keeping your login secure and for activity under your account, unless it results from unauthorized access that wasn't your fault. Please give us accurate information and let us know at support@redible.co if you think someone else is using your account. You can delete your account at any time from within the app.
Note: deleting your account or uninstalling the app does not cancel an active App Store subscription. You need to cancel it separately in your Apple Account settings (see below).
Redible offers a free tier and paid subscriptions that unlock additional features. The price, billing period, included features, and any trial are shown before you confirm your purchase. Subscriptions are sold and billed through the Apple App Store — not by us directly. That means:
Prices, plans, and what each tier includes may change over time. If we change the price of a subscription you already have, we'll give you notice as required by the store and applicable law, and any change applies only to future billing periods.
We sometimes offer free trials. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, it converts into a paid subscription and your Apple Account is charged. Only one trial per person unless we say otherwise. We can change or end trial offers at any time.
Because payments are processed by Apple, refunds are handled under Apple’s policies, not ours. If you'd like a refund, please request it through the App Store. Where the law gives you a right to a refund, withdrawal, or other consumer protection that can't be waived, that right still applies.
Redible offers literary works that are in the public domain, licensed from third parties, or otherwise provided through lawful arrangements. This content is for your personal, non-commercial reading and language learning. You may not copy, redistribute, resell, publish, sublicense, or commercially exploit the texts, translations, or narration outside the app. We don't claim ownership of the underlying text of public-domain works; copyright in the underlying works, and in the audio, glosses, hints, and translations we produce, stays with their respective owners and with us.
Which books, narration, languages, voices, and features are available can vary by country, language, device, and plan. We may add, update, replace, or remove content when reasonably necessary — for example because of licensing terms, copyright concerns, quality issues, or changes to the app. A subscription gives you access to what's included in your plan for the subscription period; it doesn't give you ownership of that content or guarantee that a particular book, voice, language, or feature stays available permanently.
We respect copyright and intellectual-property rights, and we work to offer only material we're entitled to provide. If you believe that something in Redible infringes your copyright or another right, please let us know at support@redible.co with enough detail to identify the work and your claim. We'll review reports promptly and remove or address the content where appropriate.
A large part of what you see in Redible — hints, glosses, translations, AI answers, and spoken narration — is generated automatically, including by third-party AI models. It's usually helpful, but we don't guarantee it's 100% accurate, complete, or free of error — language is nuanced, and machines get things wrong. The same question may produce different answers at different times, and an answer may be similar or identical to one given to another user (no response is guaranteed to be unique). Please use your judgment, especially for anything important, and don't rely on Redible as an authoritative translation or as professional, legal, medical, financial, or other expert advice.
That said, we care a lot about quality and work to make these features as good as we can. If you spot an error, a mistranslation, or anything that seems off, we'd genuinely be glad to hear about it at support@redible.co — it helps us make Redible better for everyone. When you ask the AI assistant a question, that question is processed by third-party language models as described in our Privacy Policy.
You can download books and audio for offline reading. These files are licensed to you for personal use inside Redible only; they stay on your device, and we neither upload nor access them. The license to use downloaded content ends if your subscription ends or your account is closed, and you agree not to extract, share, or reuse those files elsewhere.

We may introduce reasonable technical limits to protect the app against abuse, excessive automated use, fraud, security threats, or unexpectedly high resource use.
If you send us feedback, ratings, bug reports, or feature ideas, thank you — we may use them to improve Redible freely and without obligation to you. You confirm you have the right to share whatever you send us, and you agree not to submit anything unlawful, infringing, or harmful.
Redible, including the app, its design, features, name, logo, software, audio and narration, contextual hints, annotations, databases, and our original translations, belongs to us and our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms give you a personal, limited, non-transferable, revocable license to use Redible for its intended purpose. They don't give you ownership of the app, rights to third-party books or materials beyond your personal access through the app, or the right to use our branding without our written permission.
Redible relies on third-party services — cloud hosting and authentication, subscription management, AI language models, text-to-speech, sign-in providers (Google and Apple), and analytics — each with its own terms and privacy policy. Your use of the app is also subject to the terms and billing services of the App Store. Apple’s standard end-user license agreement applies to the app's license unless a different one is presented.
These Terms are between you and Redible, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for operating, maintaining, or supporting Redible, except to the extent required by its own terms or applicable law.
We work to keep Redible running well, but we can't promise it will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free. It may be temporarily unavailable because of maintenance, updates, network or server issues, third-party interruptions, or events outside our reasonable control. We may release updates that fix bugs, improve security, or change functionality — some may be necessary for the app to keep working — and we may add, change, or remove features, books, or parts of the service. Where a change materially affects a paid service, we'll give notice or another remedy where the law requires.
Redible is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent allowed by law. We don't warrant that the app, its content, its translations, its AI features, or its audio synchronization will meet your needs, be accurate, be uninterrupted, or produce any particular learning result. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain disclaimers, so parts of this section may not apply to you, and nothing here excludes rights that can't be excluded by law.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Redible won't be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost data or profits, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the app — including reliance on an AI-generated answer without reasonable verification, unauthorized account use caused by your failure to protect your login, or third-party services outside our reasonable control. Where we are held liable, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for Redible in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law — such as for fraud, gross negligence, or death or personal injury caused by our negligence — or mandatory consumer rights.
You can stop using Redible and delete your account at any time. We may restrict, suspend, or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms, if your use creates a security, legal, or technical risk, if we reasonably suspect fraud, or where we're required to by law. Where appropriate we'll give notice and a chance to fix the issue first, but we may act immediately where necessary to protect users, Redible, or others. If your account closes, your license to use Redible and any downloaded content ends. Sections that by their nature should survive — like intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability — continue to apply.
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to Redible's features, legal or security requirements, or third-party services. When we make significant changes, we'll let you know through the app or by email and update the "Last updated" date above. Changes don't apply retroactively unless the law requires. If you keep using Redible after a change takes effect, that means you accept the new Terms; if you don't agree, please stop using the app and cancel any active subscription before its next renewal.
If any part of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the rest keeps applying. If we don't enforce a provision right away, we don't give up the right to enforce it later. You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our permission; we may transfer them as part of a sale or reorganization of the Redible business, as long as your rights aren't materially reduced. These Terms, together with the information shown at the time of purchase and our Privacy Policy, form the agreement between you and Redible about your use of the app.
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in your place of residence, and you may bring claims in the courts there where the law allows. If you're a consumer, nothing in these Terms takes away mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the laws of the country where you live.
